Will You Help Us?

The Centex Humane Society operates the Second Chance Animal Shelter in Killeen. It is the only "no kill" shelter serving the greater communities of Killeen, Ft Hood, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights and outlying areas of Bell/Coryell Counties. Their source of revenue is primarily from donations, grants, fund raisers, and pet adoption fees. 55% of their revenue comes from donations. The shelter is in desperate need of additional space especially now with so many of our troops being deployed, leaving a higher number of animals behind. We are currently housing 146 cats and 90 dogs in a space that was meant to house 60 cats and 60 dogs. We are hoping to build a new facility to accommodate the increased numbers. Please help us help these animals. Thank you!!
